SOLVED SCCM stuck " setting up sql server database"

HI ,I am stuck end of the SCCM install . its stuck to create the database. I have been trying for last one week. i have two server. my active directory Domain name is :fslmetal. username sccm, another server name is :sccmmachine. do i need to add any other user login in sql server?

Are you upgrading your SCCM infra or its a new install ?. You need to wait until it displays error message. Did you see any error at the end ?.

Hi prajwal, Thank you for response. Its new installation. My sccm is 2016 techpreview. Even i tried sccm sp1. But same problem. I was been waiting 16 hrs once. But its stuck in " setting up the sql server database" .for your info i can opn the sql instance.

I found some other guys also faced same problem and there one is solved. I followed that one but my is sill stucked.

@Faisal - Check if the SQL version that you have installed is compatible with SCCM tech preview. As you are not getting any setup error, I would recommend you to cancel the installation and retry once.

I tried in every way.i set up new os in virtual box, i set up ms sql server again,wsus, all components, sccm sp1 again. but same story.. i give up now.....

You didn't answer this, do you see "Setup has encountered fatal errors during database initialization. Check the log files for details." on the screen (at the bottom) ?.

Yes when i installed sccm 2012 sp1 , i got this message.but in techpreview same problem but no message shown.Thank you

Hi prajwal, i hv one silly question. What will be the neteork connection between sccmmachine and server in virtual box.?if i put intrnal network sql cant install as there is no internet. Later on, i put bridge between those two. Then sql set up properly.but whn try to setup sccm thn same problem. Do you thnk is it right connection.i m new .so plz consider this type of qus.

Dont i need? I dont have that much idea. But i saw sql install doesnt progress if i keep connection internal network. When i do bridge connectiin sql setup successfully. Does it make any difference to set up sccm?

Dont i need internet connection? Honestly i dont have idea abt sql.but i saw sql install doesnt progress if its internal metwork. But whrn i keep bridge connection sql setup successfully. Does it make any problem as i keep bridge connection to install sccm?but i also did the only internal connection between server and sccmmachinr.but same problem.its consuming too much time.for a while i stopped to config this.rest in peace sccm for me.

No you don't need internet connection, SQL will check for updates but it's okay as the updates can be installed later. The internet connectivity is required to download prerequisite files, but if you have downloaded it earlier you can just provide the path to those files. Over all don't keep switching the network during sccm install.

Sorry, It has been fixed. Complete the installation successfully.
Request you to confirm whether any hotfix is require for 2016 Configuration manager. Since I can see your steps for 2012, you mentioned to download the hotfix.

Can you tell me the current site version ?.
