What's New in Microsoft Intune October 2025 Update

The October 2025 Microsoft Intune Service Release (2510) introduces several new features, including settings catalog support for new Windows 11 25H2 settings, new client version for Remote Help for macOS, support for user account context in EPM Elevation Rules, and much more.

The October 2025 Intune updates should be automatically rolled out to all the tenants across major regions such as APAC, NASA, and EMEA. For more information on previously released updates, read the article on Intune monthly updates.

The following are the new features and enhancements included in Intune service release 2510 released in October 2025:

1. Support for user account context in Endpoint Privilege Management Elevation Rules

Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM) introduces a new elevation rule option called "Elevate as Current User," which allows the elevated file to run in the user's context rather than utilizing a virtual account.

2. System Info property is now accessible in the properties catalog for device inventory.

You can create a properties catalog policy that lets you collect and view hardware properties from your managed Windows devices. There's a System Info category that shows system-level device insights, like OS version, hardware details, and configuration state.

3. Edit managed Google Play organization name in Intune

Now you can edit the managed Google Play organization name directly in the Microsoft Intune admin center under Devices > Android > Enrollment > Managed Google Play. The updated name, which is validated on input, appears in the admin center.

4. Settings catalog supports Windows 11 25H2 settings

The release of Windows 11 25H2 includes new policy configuration service providers (CSPs). These settings are available in the settings catalog for you to configure.

5. New client version for Remote Help for macOS

Microsoft Intune now supports macOS 26 with the latest Remote Help client, version 1.0.2510071. Earlier versions of the Remote Help client are incompatible with macOS 26. If you have opted into Microsoft AutoUpdate (MAU), the app will update automatically, requiring no action from you or your users. This latest version addresses a previous issue where the screen appeared blank upon first launch and failed to connect.

6. Enrollment time grouping failure report generally available for Android and Windows

The enrollment time grouping failures report shows failures, which include devices that failed to become a member of the specified static device group during one of the following processes:
  • Windows Autopilot device preparation provisioning
  • Enrollment of Android Enterprise fully managed devices
  • Enrollment of Android corporate-owned work profile devices
  • Enrollment of Android Enterprise dedicated devices

7. Windows 10 support in Intune

On October 14, 2025, Windows 10 has reached its end of support and will no longer receive quality or feature updates. While Windows 10 remains an eligible version for Intune, devices running this version can still enroll and access supported features. However, Microsoft says that this functionality may be inconsistent and is not guaranteed. The solution is to upgrade to Windows 11 using Intune.
