I am setting up a new Lab for SCCM and while installing the SCCM 2012 R2 setup remains at 'Setting up the SQL Server database'. Its been on the same window for more than 3 hours without any errors.

I have already installed and configured SQL Server 2012 SP1 with no errors.

While verifying the SCCM prerequisites, but still it is stuck at the same page. I have already tried removing and re-running the setup but that didn't seem to be helpful either.

Also note that I am not receiving any errors while installation and the log file show no signs of anything failing. Need help!

Hi Prajwal,

The installation has been completed successfully after running approx. for 3 hours and 40 mins. Everything seems to be streamlined now but I wonder why the setup took so long when usually it should not take such a long time to complete.

Yes the setup shouldn't take such a long time to complete. But at the end it's good to know that SCCM was installed correctly.
