The error in the log file is clear, there is a newer version of SCCM RP installed on this computer.

It is a custom action within WMI so it is hard to tel. Did you rebuild this server? aka Format c:\? as the problem can be anywhere from E: or WMI? What else is on this server? What version was on this server before?

It is Server 2012 R2, and SQL 2012, it wasn't rebuilt, but was upgraded before my time from 2008.
Previous SCCM was 1610. This was limited by the server OS, we migrated to a new server, and for the most part it all works, it is just the reporting issue to resolve.

I would remove SSRS and readd it.

I'm curious why you didn't upgrade to at least SQL 2016 and server 2016.

We already have, but will try again.

To answer your question, I got involved when i carried out an Audit September 2018, and then the previous manager went off to upgrade and did all but 2 servers from 2008 to 2012. And so when i was called in to complete the upgrade we finished off the 2012 upgrade, with a view to upgrade again as soon as the Windows 10 upgrade is completed. The other option was to upgrade those already done to 2016, and then complete the last couple to 2016.

We will try the removal and readd again to see if it works.
