Hello

I am having a complete nightmare with my SCCM.

Updates are not synchronising anymore. I have removed WSUS and IIS services and then installed them again. I checked IIS Manager on SCCM and the ports for WSUS Administration site is 8531. The ports for Default website is 443 and 80, although that site is in a stopped state.

I have removed the SUP many times and re-added, but still the updates are failing and not synchronising. I have removed/disabled all classifications and updates and ran a sync, but immediately get the WSUS update source not found.

At one point, it worked again for one day after doing all of the above, but the next day the updates couldn't sync and I was also getting an error about the WSUS Service version 3.

This is my first error

Error Milestone LSE 22/06/2018 09:36:31 "server" SMS_WSUS_SYNC_MANAGER 6703 WSUS Synchronization failed. Message: WSUS update source not found on site LSE. Please refer to WCM.log for configuration error details.. Source: getSiteUpdateSource. The operating system reported error 2147500037: Unspecified error

this is my second error

Error Milestone LSE 22/06/2018 09:52:05 "server" SMS_WSUS_CONTROL_MANAGER 7000 WSUS Control Manager failed to configure proxy settings on WSUS Server "server". Possible cause: WSUS Server version 3.0 SP2 or above is not installed or cannot be contacted. Solution: Verify that the WSUS Server version 3.0 SP2 or greater is installed. Verify that the IIS ports configured in the site are same as those configured on the WSUS IIS website. You can receive failure because proxy is set but proxy name is not specified or proxy server port is invalid.

This is my third error

Error Milestone LSE 22/06/2018 09:52:09 *server* SMS_WSUS_CONTROL_MANAGER 7003 WSUS Control Manager failed to monitor WSUS Server "server".

This is my fourth error

Error Milestone LSE 22/06/2018 09:51:58 "server" SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER 6600 WSUS Configuration Manager failed to configure upstream server settings on WSUS Server "server".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paul

"WSUS Synchronization failed. Message: WSUS update source not found on site LSE. Please refer to WCM.log for configuration error details.. " - Can you upload WCM.log file ?.

I'm facing a similar problem, but I also saw that the WSUS won't load, the IIS service is running and SQL, this is the second time that it happens in a different environment, do you guys have any idea in how to fix it?

Code:
The WSUS administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server via the remote API.

Verify that the Update Services service, IIS and SQL are running on the server. If the problem persists, try restarting IIS, SQL, and the Update Services Service.

The WSUS administration console has encountered an unexpected error. This may be a transient error; try restarting the administration console. If this error persists,

Try removing the persisted preferences for the console by deleting the wsus file under %appdata%\Microsoft\MMC\.

An old thread but very much helpful. Check arvin's response.

Hi there,
