Hi we are getting this error as we try to capture a windows 10 pro 1903 from a client.

Which logs are helpfull and where do i find them? (client/server) Any help would be great.

We are running SCCM 1906, win10 ADK is up to date.

Smsts.log is the one that records Task Sequence operations.

Recommend using CMTrace or OneTrace instead of Notepad to review SCCM logs.

I suspect this could be falling because Sysprep cannot clean the new windows built-in apps.

On the client machine go to C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\Panther and check the below two log files.
Setupact.log
Setuperr.log

i have been suggesting people to move away from build and capture. just install the bare metal and use powerscript to remove unwanted apps and tasks in TS to install app etc. there is also an option in the OS Image to include patches. can someone please explain to me why are we still doing build and capture?

Our baselines have a lot of software that gets packaged in during the B&C. Only having to suffer the wait times and multiple restarts during a baseline update rather than everytime we deploy an OSis enough reason for me. ;)
