Hi all,

What is the difference between Management Point and Secondary Site?
My environment has a primary site in country A
In Country B I have:
- 100 Clients
- 10 MB/s bandwidth between country A -B
- no local Admin there
Is a management point with DP enough? Or should I install a secondary site? And why?
what is the difference between MP(with IIS, DP) and secondary site?

The clients contact the Management Point to have all policies, in the Secondary Site, you must install a MP too (with SQL...), you can use it if you have a high network traffic with a lot of clients between your sites.

I suggest to you to monitor your traffic network between countries A and B, if it's OK, you can maybe install a DP in remote country.

Hello Youssef,
Thanks for the answer!
and can I install only a Management Point and a DP ? Without a secondary site?
regards, Alican

Yes, in this scenario, your second Management Point will use your existing Database on the site server.

You must specify the MP in the boundaries group according to your needs.

Then I will not install a secondary site. I only will configure a MP and DP

Thank you for your help!
That was very helpfull

Best regards,
Alican

As mentioned above, if your network traffic between your Office and the remote site is not overload, you can only configure a DP.
