Hi

I am using a VMWare Windows 7 to install applications and updates.
Afterwards I run the Task Sequence Capture Media.
The VMWare is in a Workgroup.

The image is captured correctly, but when the WMWare reboots after capturing it is joined to the Domain.

I don't understand why :) So after every capture I have to join it to WORKGROUP.

Can someone explain to me why this happens? Bare with me, I am a SCCM noob ;)

Solution
Hi, I deploy it via a Task Sequence. I change til .wim file in the Apply Operating System step.
I followed your guide on how to create a Capture media. When I deploy the new wim file everything is working great. Only problem is that my reference computer is domain joined after the Capture :-(
This is strange. The reference computer where you ran the capture process shouldn't join to the domain automatically. Did you try Create a New Task Sequence > Build and capture a reference operating system image ?.

Solution
I installed Windows 7 and all applications on the VMWare. Then I used the Create Task Sequence Media to capture it.
When I deploy the new .wim file - yes the computer is joined to the domain as this is a step in the deployment TS.
