Was recently asked to find which users are still using Internet Explorer due to incompatibility issues with most of our software. We need to identify who is using IE and for what purposes. I don't see Internet Explorer as an Inventoried Software besides Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 7 and Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 8. I need to get all version of IE on inventoried Software so I can start a Software Metering rule. How can I accomplish this task?

Why don't you meter all version of IE? As such you don't need the version numbers at all, for that matter, I wouldn't recommend metering each version of IE, I would do all or none.

Correct, my goal is meter all versions, but all version's of IE are not displaying on Inventoried Software. Shouldn't they be there?

I actually did stumble into one of your articles regarding this thread. I do agree with you and its useless behavior of SW inventory. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it!
