SOLVED SCCM DP unable to Browse IIS

Hi

I have noticed today that a DP has stopped downloading content and is stuck at 0%.

I am also unable to navigate to Http://Server/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/DataLib as it fails with a 404- File or Directory not found

Its a DP that has not been used much so not sure if it is working. has anybody had this before? Boundary seem fine as if i put another DP in its location it works and i can browse to that dp's DataLib file

Check the dp status in monitoring part and distmgr.log too.

the DP status part has shown all content distributed, there is only 1 thing in there which it states "Restart might be required" "SMS Client" "in Progress". I have tried restarting the server but i still get this on that DP. Distmgr.log shows no error and shows that content successfully copied over

Also just had a look and under IIS i can only see Default web site, there is no sub sites. Seems issue when IIS was configured. Is there anyway to resolve this or shall i just recreate this DP ?

Restart might be required" "SMS Client" "in Progress".

A DP restart should work here.

Hi

i tried a restart still same issue. Looking at IIS a lot of the sites are missing. I am currently removing the DP and testing this by reinstalling the DP after manually deleting the sites on the iis

Before uninstalling the DP role, try installing the base components from the link that I shared.

Hi, I can now see the two IIS sites "SMS_DP_SMSPKG$" & "SMS_DP_SMSSIG$" but i can still not browse the site "http://server/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/DataLib". I get the error "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials". I have checked the IIS permissions and Anonymous Autehntication is enabled on both sites.

Any ideas on this plz

I believe Issue is related to authentication, did u added authenticated users in iis ? If yes delete and add again

Hi, it is something to do with authentication On a machine if i browse "http://server/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/DataLib" it asks me for credentials, if i enter my domain admin it allows me to view the site. Not sure where to change this. Under SMS_DP_SMSPKG$ annoymous authenication is enabled with specific user "IUSR" which is the same as my other dp's. I have tried to disable > restart IIIS > Enable but same outcome

Are you able to acces same with other Dps? ..check the configuration changes. If ntg works. Then go with uninstall

i am able to browse the other dp's, i got this resolved by rebuilding IIS and re adding the role in SCCM. I also noticed that the share did not have Read access which may have been why it did not work. Please make this as resolved
