Hey All! Looking for a little help here. We recently setup our first SCCM server with version 1703 on Server 2016. Everything went smoothly.

When we attempted to deploy our first DP on a 2016 server, we are running into the following (sitecomp.log):

It appears that the Primary site can't install the role on the DP server. DP server has Primary site server on local admins list. Firewall ports have been configured. It seems everything is properly setup, but when the Primary site attempts to install comregsetup, perfsetup and rolesetup. The files "do not exist" even though the files are present.

Any ideas? Did I miss something somewhere?

Thanks!

"We recently setup our first SCCM server with version 1703 " - Is it version 1702 ?. Or you have tech preview version installed ?. Please add lines from distmgr.log file as well.

Yeah, sorry 1702. All these 1703, 1704, etc from M$ are getting confusing.

Anyway, I was able to resolve the issue. When the Distribution Point was added to the Primary Site, it was added via its short DNS entry name. When I re-added via the FQDN, everything worked perfectly.

Thanks!
