SOLVED SCCM client install issue CcmRegisterSystemTaskRollback

Error: CcmRegisterSystemTaskRollback,In the event of a failed Installation, this action rolls back the changes from ccmregistercomponents.

Hi Members,

Getting error while installation SCCM cleint " CcmRegisterComponentsRollback. In the event of a failed installation, this action rolls back the changes from CcmRegisterComponents.".. Can you please help what would be the reason.

Could you attach CCMSetup.log file & Client.MSI.log ?.

Hi Prajwal,

I am also getting same error and checked both logs.
MSI logs stating that Installation completed successfully but in CCM logs it giving below error.
"MSI: Action 15:47:59: CcmRegisterComponentsRollback. In the event of a failed installation, this action rolls back the changes from CcmRegisterComponents. ccmsetup 7/14/2016 3:47:59 PM 780 (0x030C)"

i m unable to attach the logs. please let me know in which extension should i attach the same.

Hi Prajwal,

You can zip the log files or change the extension of log file to .txt and then upload.

Okay in that case rename .log files to .txt files and upload. That should work

From the log file i see "CcmSetup is exiting with return code 0 ccmsetup 14-07-2016 15:48:31 780 (0x030C)". I guess the client agent has been installed. Can you confirm if the agent is installed and is active in CM console ?.

Agent showing installed, but it not showing in active in CM console.

Did you wait for sometime and check in the console ?. The client agent installed on computer takes some time to update it's status in the console.

Yes, I waited for two days. The configuration manager is showing client certificate to set to none and the actions tab only show Machine and user policy listed. Client MSI log attached.
