In my specific environment I have a standalone WSUS Server that updates clients. This part of the operation works just fine. I approve an update for installation which the client receives and installs.
The challenge that I have is that, even though the WSUS Server and Client get the updates, the Client does not report back to the WSUS Server.
IIS Configured
SSL Cert Configured
GPO configured for correct WSUS Server

Logs cannot be attached

Any thoughts?

You will need to read the logs and it will give you an idea as to what the issue is.

You mentioned that clients are getting updates, did you check from where exactly they are getting updates -Internet or WSUS? I am assuming that you are using Group Policies to apply the WSUS settings to your clients, so first of all, check if the WSUS policy was properly applied to computer. Can you also confirm if clients are actually receiving the correct GPO and the correct policies by running gpresult /h gpo.htm command.

Sorry I should have said that they're getting the updates from the WSUS Server, they do not have a connection to the internet not does the WSUS Server.
Have also tried the following:
Performed the following:
Stopped the Windows Update service
Deleted the SUSClientID registry key
Restarted the Windows Update service
Re-registered and triggered an update check
