SOLVED Office 2016 Removal for 365 deployment

Hi,

Are there any guides for the enclosed ?
I need to remove Office 2016 off a number of machines, reboot and install 365 on them
Any help appreciated

Hi there,

you can use the Office 365 Deployment Tool for this. At https://config.office.com you can create a configuration file for your Office 365 installation. In the fourth section (Update and Upgrade) you can select to uninstall any old Office versions and replace them with Office 365. Using this method it is impossible to perform a reboot after uninstalling and before installing.

If the reboot is required you may be better off using Supersedence. If you set your Office 2016 Application as superseded Application in your Office 365 Package your CCM Client will uninstall Office 2016 before installing Microsoft 365. In your Office 2016 uninstall routine you may return Code 3010 to wait for a reboot.
