Hi,

Anyone faced this issue before whereby the patch keeps re-downloading despite it has successfully installed and rebooted.
After it has been installed successfully it was shown under Error tab. After performing machine retrieval, the status went back to In progress and starts to re-download the patch and prompt to restart.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall agent, issue persist. Please assist.

Thank you!

I am not sure why this happens but with Server 2016 I have faced lot of similar issues. I personally don't recommend Server 2016 because I have always faced issues while installing updates. I would recommend upgrading Server 2016 to 2019.

Hi Prajwal,

We are not able to upgrade the servers as this is production and we have 150 -200 servers running on 2016. Anyway we can solve this issue?

We have faced kind of issues for win10 and 2016 flavours . I have tried below steps , most of the time it was working . As prajwal said , 2016 server having many knows bugs and so recommended to upgrade to 2019

1. Delete SoftwareDistribution directory
2 .Remove the problematic update
3 .Run Windows Update Troubleshooter
4.Check for updates manually
5.Run SFC scan
