I'm attempting to perform an In-Place Upgrade from LTSC 1809 to either 1909 or directly to 20H2. I have added the Operating System Upgrade Package and Created the Task Sequence (selecting Upgrade OS - 3rd Option). I deployed to the device group which includes my test machines.
I followed the steps outlined in
I even used 1809 (non-LTSC, 1909, 2004 and 20H2).
On the Windows 10 LTSC 1809, I open Software Center and click Install for the Upgrade. I'm immediately prompted with "When you install a new OS...." Essentially, I'm going to wipe your device.
However, I was hoping to receive this message.
What is causing the Task to perform a Wipe, when I want a Upgrade?
