We have recently enrolled 200 android devices in intune, those are fully managed. As we know, intune supports Locate device action only for iOS/iPadOS or Windows devices. looking for a alternative.
Any suggestion pl?

Solution
There is no alternative for enabling find devices for fully managed devices.
Locate device is an option for dedicated device profiles.
Here is the updated info from Microsoft docs:
Locate device - The following platforms support this capability:
  • Android Enterprise dedicated devices – Requires the device run Google Play Services version 20.06.16 or later and have Location services turned on.
  • iOS/iPadOS 9.3 and later - Requires the device to be in supervised mode, and be in lost mode.
  • Windows 10:
    • Version 20H2 (10.0.19042.789) or later
    • Version 2004 (10.0.19041.789) or later
    • Version 1909 (10.0.18363.1350) or later
    • Version 1809 (10.0.17763.1728) or later
  • Windows 11

For testing, I updated Google Play Services to the most recent version, however the option is still Greyed out.

In the configuration profile, we have a choice for Windows 10 devices,

Configuration settings
Let Apps Access Location -Force allow.

but not for Android devices.

As per Microsoft:
Locate a lost or stolen device:
  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center.
  2. Select Devices, and then select All devices.
  3. From the list of devices you manage, select a supported device, and choose .... Then choose the Locate device remote action.
  4. After the device is located, its location is shown in Locate device.
    • You can select the location pin on the map to view a location address and coordinates.
    • Android Enterprise dedicated devices that aren't currently on-line can display their last known location when the device last checked in within seven days.

Our android devices are enrolled in this profile - Corporate-owned, fully managed user devices .

I have read this forum before. Locate device supports only with

Corporate-owned dedicated devices . I believe that only KIOSK uses a specific devices profile.

Locate device is hidden,
