PENDING Fresh SCCM Server 2022 Install – Reuse Same Site Code Without Reinstalling All Clients?

Hello,

I currently have a Server 2016 environment running SCCM version 1902.
My installation has serious issues with Reporting Services (SSRS WMI provider is broken), and repairing or reinstalling SSRS did not solve it.

I would like to build a completely fresh Windows Server 2022 with a clean new SCCM installation, but I want to reuse the same Site Code as my current environment.
My goal is to avoid reinstalling or manually touching the SCCM client on all existing computers.
My questions:

1. Is it supported to completely remove the old SCCM 1902 site and then install a fresh SCCM 2022 Primary Site using the same site code?
2. Will the existing clients automatically reassign to the new site if the site code stays the same?
3. Is there anything special I should consider before uninstalling the old primary site (SQL DB cleanup, boundaries, AD schema, etc.)?
4. Is fresh installation recommended in this case, considering the reporting service is damaged and the site is old?

Any guidance or best practices for this migration scenario would be greatly appreciated.

If reporting services are not functioning, try resolving the issue first instead of reinstalling your entire site. If the problem persists, consider not reusing the same site code. If you're concerned about updating the site code for clients, it can be easily managed with a simple script.

2. No they will not automatically Reenroll. To this point, you will have far more problem is you do try to reuse the site code...
3. Yes far too many to list. Use a new site code. You will have far few problems.
4. If the only problem is SSRS then why reinstall everything??? Seems like a drastic measure for something so simple to fix.
