There is NO wrong answer to this. So use whatever works for you.

I wound up creating a new DFS Name Space share on the server for drivers, software, scripts, etc. that I named "Sources$". With it being a DFS Name Space I can move it to a different server later if needed without having to reconfigure any items in CM.
