Hi All,
We have AD1 which is our primary DC where we have all the users and devices discovered as they are genuine. My config manager is also setup in this domain.
Now for our testing, we had setup another forest say AD2.com this has 2 child domains AD2CD1.com AD2CD2.com.
I have created large number of dummy users and devices using a script in AD2CD1.com domain. It has around 300k users and 100k devices.
I need to import these users and computers into our config manager. Here is what I have done...
1. Enable the discovery method "Active Directory forest Discovery" - Now I can see the forest AD2.com listed under "Hierarchy Configuration>Active Directory Forest ". When I click on domains under it, I can see AD2CD1.com listed (for some reason AD2CD2.com does list here).
do I need to add active directory containers for both System discovery and User discovery types? and what else I need to do to get these users and devices discovered from AD2CD1.com?
