Hi there,
I installed two hotfixes last night, KB4486457 and KB4490575. Before installation, I performed a prerequisite check on each update.
The prerequisite check returned one warning for KB4486457 for the SQL Native Client version, so I upgraded that to a supported version 11.4.7001.0. After upgrading the SQL Native Client, I re-ran the prerequisite check on KB4486457, which now completed without warning. I then went to perform the installation of KB4486457, which completed successfully shortly after.
From there, KB4490575 was now available within the CM Console. Before installation, I did a prerequisite check on the update. The prerequisite check passed, so I went to perform the installation. The installation appeared to be going well, but monitoring the progress after around 30 minutes, I noticed that the update progress had hung at Post Installation, In progress... with the update itself being reported as Installed within the console. I have done the usual of restarting the services, along with the server itself, but the installation has not moved. I've checked the log files and the only entries which appear to be showing are within the CMUpdate.log log, with entries of "Error information persisted in the database. CONFIGURATION_MANAGER_UPDATE.
Would resetting the update with the Update reset tool which is included in CB resolve this issue? Clients are receiving the new client version which is related to the KB4490575 hotfix, so it appears that the update is installed?
