SOLVED Change the distribution point ip address

Due to some network changes, we need to change the IP address for an SCCM DP. I will just change the IP address on the DP server, but Is there anything I need to be aware of related to or post making the change ? Let me know please.

Hi Harshit,

No problem on changing the Ip address,

Just don't go changing the name of the server. Ever. The name is tied into too many things. So , Just make sure DNS is updated.

I don’t see any issues if we move the DP to other network. Only thing that needs to be changed is hard coded IP-helpers for PXE boot.
Tip – We can change or decrease the TTL on the DNS record the day before the actual change so that systems will pick up the change more quickly.
