SCCM Upgrade stuck at "Installing" for past 5 days

Whilst upgrading SCCM version from 2409 to 2503, the status has been stuck at Installing for past 5 days. Digging deeper I can see:

[In progress]:Validating redistributable files. Check cmupdate.log for details.

So I checked cmupdate.log and come across the following error:

- Manifest version 202503 does not match 202509
- Failed to verify redist file for update D:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\CMUStaging\AA928926-5C76-4DE0-B51F-0FE4D365DFE2\redist\ConfigMgr.Manifest.cab

Really have no idea where to go from here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had this exact thing. I created a share on the MECM server for EasySetupPayload and set the user permissions to Everyone.

I had this exact thing. I created a share on the MECM server for EasySetupPayload and set the user permissions to Everyone.

After setting up EasySetupPayload use the tools to remove the download files and redownload and install.

What do you mean? Just create a shared called EasySetupPayload and thats it? Im confused.

i created a share on my mecm server called EasySetupPayload and pointed to that directory in my Program files/Mecm then set the permissions to Everyone. And it completed downloading and pre-req then install.
