SOLVED SCCM error code 1620

Hi Prawal,

I installed SCCM 2012 per you SOP on this page but it did not install the config mgr console. It failed with an error code of 1620. Have you seen this before?

Hi Lon, I hope the Configuration Manager is installed correctly. Did you check the ConfigMgrSetup.log file for more errors ?. Did you try running the setup again and install the Configuration Manager console ?. Error 1620 is seen if the locally cached Windows Installer package (*.msi) file is damaged or corrupted. So let me know if the log file contains any other errors.

Thank you for your response. I tried re-installing it with a new install package and it worked. Have you had ant issues installing the console on your desktop?

Hi Lon, I have had no issues in installing the console so far on desktop. Are you facing any issues while installing console?

I resolved the issues with the console. I had a corrupted image. Thank you for your assistance.
