Hello Desai,

Recently i have upgraded my SCCM Environment from 1902 to 1910. Issue is Production client is 1902 version and Pre-production client version is 1910. I want to update Production client version to 1910 from 1902. While i m trying to enabling Pre-Production client option it is grayed out.

Can you please help me to update current production client version. Attaching the screen shots.

Thanks
Kiran

If the option is grayed out, you have an issue with ROLE BASED ADMINISTRATION. If the user that try to do promote pre-production client , is a part of AD group and is member of Full administrator security scope. Then the option will be grayed out. So add the AC directly administrative users and give security roll - Full administrator

Thanks, Gokul. I have tired the steps which you provided even it helped.
I did Changes in DB(using SQL quires) fixed the issue.

update EasySetupSettings set PackageGuid = ‘6347850B-BF04-488F-AA4B-2B68CDAFA3E0

Select * from EasySetupSettings

Even after removing my ID from security group and created the user id with full access in the SCCM, still the option is greyed out. Please help me to enable it.

Hi Kiran,
Could you please share, what changes you made in SQL to fix the issue.

Hi , may I know how u selected pre-production client while upgradation?

I have selected a pilot collection during upgrade
Ok perfect. This case looks like very intresting. Let me provide u some information
1. Account should have full admin access (for all instance).
2.You can't promote the production if you have already ran any prerequisite check for any other available hotfix
