PENDING WUAHandler: OnSearchComplete - Failed to end search job. Error = 0x80244007.Scan failed with error = 0x80244007

Hi there,
My clients are getting stuck in Unknown state with "Client check passed/Active".
The WUAhandler log has the following log:
WUAHandler: OnSearchComplete - Failed to end search job. Error = 0x80244007.
Scan failed with error = 0x80244007

The weird thing is that one of the client is on compliant state among 12 client with in the same deployment and other 11 are on the unknown state.
Can someone guide me further to investigate it.

Update: after making these changes in the config from this post

some movements started happening, clients started to go to in progress and error with error code 0x00000000(which should be fine.

will post again when all clients go to compliant.

This is weird. All of a sudden all clients back to unknown state. after everything was working fine as expected.

Will update more.

Can you also examine the logs on the client computer to determine what updates were installed and are there any other errors.

After almost 24 hr and doing Evaluate software deployment / download computer policy on the asset group, the deployment is as follows among 12 clients:
in progress:
pending system restart = 2 clients
successfully installed = 1 client
Error:
Error code 0x0000000 = 7 client
Error code 0X8000FFFF = 2 client
And not they are moving no where, I tried to do evaluate software deployment couple of times to trigger the deployment.

From client log: I am not sure where to look into to what was installed but from gui windows update history, surely updates got installed.
Other red flag i see on client side Statusagentlog is this error
"Could not retrieve value for MDM_ConfigSetting . Error 0x80041013"


No other issues found in the client log files : checked: updatesdeployments.log, WUAhandler.log, StateMessage.log.

Similar error on the server log: statusagent.log
"Could not retrieve value for MDM_ConfigSetting . Error 0x80041013
Successfully queued event on HTTP failure switching to success message for MP 'sccm.mydomain.local'. "

Other thing I noticed on the clients when I logged into them.
All clients were at this state:
Software Center with a red dot and this message
After I clicked on it it would give me the option to restart the computer:


And when reboot right now selected, it would open the software center and start downloading the additional updates.

Any idea what made it got stuck in that state?
