Hi Team,

I want to know how WSUS decline updates..

we have issue on KB4494175, it is showing as decline in WSUS but our patching team says that particular patch is well required in our environment.

how can we check whether the this patch is required in our environment from SCCM.

what we thought is that if the update is not required for any machine it will goes to decline state....is that correct..? can anyone clarify me.

and the latest KB4494175 is not showing in WSUS

Ideally you decline the updates manually in WSUS only when you don't want it to be deployed in your setup. Because there is no option to decline updates in ConfigMgr. Apart from that I would not recommend using WSUS to manage your updates because ConfigMgr will do it.

Regarding your second question on status of update, I will test and confirm in my lab.
