PENDING WSUS 1 machine to show as 100%

Hi All,

So we are using MECM but we are seeing clients check in to WSUS but all of them show as 99%. I cannot get 1 machine yet to come back as 100%. We have started with the servers and I have patched one manually and it comes back with 73 updates but they are all languages required and also 2021-04 update for windows server 2012 R2 KB4601275 but that doesn't show anywhere under Config Manager

It is unclear to me what is your question. WSUS should NOT be used for deploying SU to CM clients. Yes CM clients will check with WSUS to see what SU apply.

Have you Bing'ed how to deploy SU with CM?

Hi Garth,

So I have taken on an existing set up which needs a lot of TLC. Firstly today has been a better down and now have 4 machines checking in to WSUS as 100% Installed and Up to date. Am using MECM for everything but WSUS to just see how up to date everything is. One Query is that some servers have been manually patched and I know are up to date but in WSUS it shows they need 70+ Language packs. I have looked in the options and can only see English for Languages that have been ticked ? Any Ideas ?

If you are using ConfigMgr to deploy updates, you don't have to use WSUS console at all. ConfigMgr comes with built-in reports for software updates which can give you a lot of info about deployments.

Hi,
Am using MECM for everything only use WSUS to show what % machine's are at in relation to updates - how many updates are required etc. Is there anyway to force all clients to check in to WSUS server and also we have servers showing 100% all up to date which is great. On the other hand we have servers that I know are up to date - patched manually but they show a very random old update and some requiring loads of language packs ? Please see image enclosed. This server is 100% up to date but not in WSUS.....Thanks
