Hello,

Firstly, fantastic guides. I had trouble getting SCCM installed originally and a quick Google search brought me to your step by step instructions which got my through it so thank you very much for this great website.

Here is where I am at. I've set-up a new VM specifically for SCCM. It's joined to the domain, I've installed SQL, WSUS and SCCM, basically following all of your instructions up to installing Endpoint.

In Configuration Manager console, I click on Assets and Compliance, select Devices and choose Device Collections, right click target collection (All Systems), click on properties, click on Alerts and I don't have the ability to tick the box for 'view this collection in the Endpoint Protection Dashboard' - it't greyed out?

If I then continue following the instructions and configure alerts and then get to the section where I tick the box to acquire the definition updates, when I run the sync, no items are found whereas on the screenshot, you see all the updates coming in. The proxy is set correctly in SCCM and I have verified that I have an Internet connection, etc

I'm not sure if it's related to the same issue but how am I getting my devices into the relevant group? I basically want all computers in my organisation to use Endpoint so have selected All systems but I can't see any members in that group. How do I add them?

Thank you very much in advance for anyone who can help.

Can you verify if you have installed and configured Endpoint Protection Role in SCCM ?. http://prajwaldesai.com/installing-and-configuring-endpoint-protection-role-in-sccm-2012-r2/

also ensure Manage Endpoint Protection client on client computers is set to Yes in the client agent settings.

Prajwal,

Thanks for the reply but I will eat humble pie and say this is my fault. I skipped the hugely important step of confirming discovery and boundaries. I am now following the instructions in the correct order and hopefully, will have more success.

Many Thanks

Okay let me know how it goes. If this issue is resolved, let me know if this thread can be marked as Solved.

Hello,

I have followed all the steps from scratch and have made really good progress but I still find that this box is greyed out?

I'm literally just trying to overcome the last hurdle of getting the definitions out to the clients so not have to update them manually (I have posted another question for that) but no, this box is always greyed out for me.

What does it do? Do I need to worry about it?

Hi. Anyone know how to enable the "view this collection in the Endpoint Protection dashboard" check box on many collections?
