I recently upgraded the server that has our AAD connect from 2012 R2 to 2016. I downloaded the newest version of Connect and now I am having an issue with the upgrade. I didn't export the configuration from AAD Connect tool as you have outlined here (https://www.prajwaldesai.com/steps-to-upgrade-azure-ad-connect/). I didn't see that until I had already upgraded. When I try to run AAD Connect, it wants to continue the upgrade, but I keep getting an error stating that upgrade cannot proceed because the Azure Active Directory connector (b891884f-051e-4a83-95af-2544101c9083) is missing. We were experiencing issues with password synchronization to AAD from our On-Premise domain, but were still able to directory sync. Not being able to upgrade the AAD Connect in Windows 2012 R2 is the reason for the 2016 server upgrade. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
