I have a distribution point that I removed some content from and now I cannot redistribute the same content I removed. There is no progress showing on the package and logs aren't showing a clear error on why it's not working. I have tried to push other content to the same dist. point and it worked. The content in question are the boot images for PXE so it's quite important to get these back on the dist. point. Rebooted both the DP and site server to no avail. Checked distmgr.log, pkgxfer.log, and smspxe.log on the DP. The following keeps appearing over and over again:

Attempting to remove package name from distribution point ["Display=\\DP name\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=site code"]\\DP name\
Start deleting package name from server ["Display=\\DP name\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=site code"]\\DP name\...
Successfully removed the package name from server ["Display=\\DP name\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=site code"]\\DP name\
Created DP processing thread 13912 for removal of package name on server ["Display=\\DP name\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=site code"]\\DP name\

I feel my SCCM server believes the content is still on the DP and not wanting to redistribute the content. In the past I have experienced this type of issue when something happened with distribution and we had to manual cancel the distribution. I had to recreate the application in order to redistribute. I am hoping that there is an easier fix then having to recreate the boot images as I do not want to mess with the other DPs that are still working properly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am having the exact same issue. I removed a package from a DP and now want to redistribute it. When I try, nothing happens at all. I did notice the distmgr log that SCCM is still trying to delete the package from that DP. It does so and says it completes every 30 minutes. Maybe stopping that job will let us redistribute, but I don't see that job anywhere to stop.

Have you gotten anywhere with this? If it was just one package on one DP, I could just recreate the package. But I have several that I want to redistribute...

I ended up creating a new DP because I couldn't find a fix.

Did you find any solutions on this topic? I literally faced the same problem here

Unfortunately not. I ended up recreating the package and redeploying it to my distribution points.
