I'm trying to deploy Teams (MSI) to my test computer and the installation fails. I get Past due - will be retried. I've attached the last 12 hours of the AppEnforce.log.

Please help, what am I doing wrong?

Check if yours clients can access and write in the the log share folder:
I don't think they can access the Log share folder so I've removed it from the installation command line. I've left as the default:
Code:
msiexec /i Teams_windows_x64.msi

Thank you for responding but no, it hasn't changed anything. The installer still says "Past due - will be retried."

Sorry, what I meant to say is that I've removed the machine that I wanted to store the logs in and the log parameter entirely.

I'm trying to deploy Teams MSI via SCCM using default options from this link.

My issue was that Teams.msi was not installing successfully and gave an error of "Failed - will be retried." I tried removing CCM Client multiple times using built-in uninstaller and CCMclean.exe and even cleared CM cache and persistent cache but nothing would let me install the app.

I ended up using the following switch but don't believe this was the issue:
Code:
msiexec /i Teams_windows_x64.msi OPTIONS="noAutoStart=true"

When I attempted to install Teams via Software Center, the error I was getting in AppEnforce.log was:
0x654 (1612)

I then found this article and deleted the GUID for Teams found here (as I had installed it before to test):
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products\GUID

Since I was trying to deploy the MSI to users who have installed Teams (using EXE) or have never installed Teams on their computer before. I needed to find a way to detect the .EXE even though there is a default Detection Rule added for the MSI:
Code:
Setting Type: Registry
Hive: HKEY_USERS
Key: .DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Teams

I forgot to mention thank you for all your help and checking back to see if my issue has been resolved. Much appreciated.

I don't think they can access the Log share folder so I've removed it from the installation command line. I've left as the default:
Code:
msiexec /i Teams_windows_x64.msi
Use this switch "msiexec /i Teams_windows_x64.msi /log teams.log" to create a log file for the setup execution, so you can find the exact error
