Hello everyone,
I am new to SCCM and i was asked to do a SQL and ADK update on SCCM but i have never done it before.The SQL update will be just to install the latest CU for SQL 2016 Server.
For ADK we will also install the latest( the current ADK is very old 20H2 version)
The SCCM setup is one primary site and one secondary and version is 2309. From what i have read so far for the SQL Update we will stop the Services SMS_EXECUTIVE, SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER perform the update on the primary Site and proceed with the second one.
After we are done with both sites we will wait some days and we will proceed to uninstall the current ADK and install the new one. After installing the new ADK we will update and reload the Boot Image(86x) , Boot Image(64x) that are the default ones that SCCM creates. There are also some Custom boot images but as i have read those will not be automatically updated.
Can someone confirm or have any other suggestion on how to proceed with this?
