Hello,

Out SCCM prod has not synchronized in a while, per \Monitoring\Overview\Software Update Point Synchronization Status on the console. Looking at WCM.log, I'm seeing these two errors:

System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 403: Forbidden.~~ at Microsoft.UpdateServices.Administration.AdminProxy.CreateUpdateServer(Object[] args)~~ at Microsoft.SystemsManagementServer.WSUS.WSUSServer.ConnectToWSUSServer(String ServerName, Boolean UseSSL, Int32 PortNumber)

Remote configuration failed on WSUS Server.

SCCM/WSUS does not need proxy to access the web. Not sure why it stopped synchronizing with Microsoft. Any thoughts on this?

Hi @CodyB,

Are you using Software Update Point with HTTPS? If it's the case, check the certificate and IIS status.

If you can please share with us the whole following log files:
  • WSUSCtrl.log
  • WCM.log
  • wsyncmgr.log

Hi Youssef Saad,

I checked the IIS bindings for WSUS Administration site and it is pointing to the SSL Certificate. I checked Communication Security tab on the Properties of the SCCM Site and verified that the correct Root CA specified is using the correct SSL Cert. I don't know what changed since it was working. Here's the log you requested. I checked Update Services and it ran via scheduled or manually.wsyncmgr_log.pngWCM_log.pngWSUSCtrl_log.pngUpdate Services.png

Thanks,
Coby

This has been resolved. I basically backed tracked and re-do what it would take to change from http to https, like adding the SSL Cert again. But, seem to have fixed the problem.
