PENDING Setting up SCCM in Azure cloud

Hi Friends..I have a general query. When AD is cloud based (azure) and we have plans of installing SCCM in cloud as well..how will the machine discovery process work in this case. I mean how will schema extension etc work...? is there a guide detailing cloud based set up and OS(Windows 10) deployment process?

I haven't come across any company which is running sccm completely in cloud. I believe the machine discovery will work the same way as it works when sccm is installed on prem. Quick question, do you plan to manage the clients that are on prem while the SCCM is hosted on cloud ?.Or it will be a new sccm setup in cloud ?.
