Hello everyone,

I have to build a lab (which need to be as close as our production infrastructure) for current branch with 1 CAS , 4 primary servers and 8 distribution points (1 DP role on each primary + 4 independent DP).

This platform is mostly for testing, it won't have a lot of clients.

We will use SQL server 2014 standart edition.

What would be your advices concerning the sizing of the servers in term of RAM and disks space ?

Thanks in advance.

if it's a lab setup, you don't need CAS as you have got very few clients. In case you want to proceed with above lab, may i know where are you planning to host these machines ?. 1 CAS , 4 primary servers and 8 distribution points - This might need lot of memory and disk space as well.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

Primaries and DP will be hosted on an ESXi with 64GB of RAM and 3TB of disk space, the CAS will be hosted on another ESXi with 16GB of RAM and 500GB of disk space.

I know it will be short but unfortunately I have to work with this configuration.
