SOLVED Separate Distribution Point

Hi,

I'm going to be installing a fresh installation of SCCM. I've seen plenty of guides but none of which confirm whether I was wondering if its possible to skip the installation of a Distribution Point in the initial setup and install on another server after? Or do I have to install one on the initial installation?

Are you referring to sccm primary or secondary site. For both dp should installed.

Yes one will get installed. and yes you can install one after the fact on another server. And yes you can remove the DP from your primary site AFTER you install the new DP on another server.
