Another post by me and having many troubles with a server which has just had to have the MP reinstalled which was casuing issues.

Site Status still Critical and error messages on the Managment point server is :

Could not read registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\MP\Hardware Inventory" on computer LKSAZSCCMCORPS1.LKSSAZURE.COM. The operating system reported error 5: Access is denied.

Could not read registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS" on computer LKSAZSCCMCORPS1.LKSAZURE.COM. The operating system reported error 5: Access is denied.

Site Component Manager could not access site system "\\LKSAZSCCMCORPS1.LKSAZURE.COM". The operating system reported error 2147943640: The account is not authorized to log in from this station.

Possible cause: The site system is turned off, not connected to the network, or not functioning properly.
Solution: Verify that the site system is turned on, connected to the network, and functioning properly.

Possible cause: Site Component Manager does not have sufficient access rights to connect to the site system.
Solution: Verify that the Site Server's computer$ account has administrator rights on the remote site system.

Possible cause: Network problems are preventing Site Component Manager from connecting to the site system.
Solution: Investigate and correct any problems on your network.

Possible cause: You took the site system out of service and do not intend on using it as a site system any more.
Solution: Remove this site system from the list of site systems for this site. The list appears in the Site Systems node of the Administrator console.

The Computer object for the mangement point and primary site is in the local administrators group, for good measure I removed them and re added to no avail

Component Status Summarizer detected that component "SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER", running on computer "LKSAZSCCMCORPS1.LKSAZURE.COM", has reported 1 or more Error status messages during the Component Status Threshold Period.

Possible cause: The count equals or exceeds the Component Status Warning Threshold (1 status messages) for Error status messages for the component.
Solution: If the component's status is not already set to Warning, Component Status Summarizer will set the component's status to Warning in the Component Status summary in the Configuration Manager Console.

Thoughts?

Event Viewer logs that are "error" under system

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{8D8F4F83-3594-4F07-8369-FC3C3CAE4919}
and APPID
{F72671A9-012C-4725-9D2F-2A4D32D65169}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

When you reinstalled the MP role was it successful ?. Can you brief about your setup.

Also when you say "The Computer object for the management point and primary site is in the local administrators group" what exactly do you mean by this ?.

According to MPSetup.log this was a failure unitll I rebooted the server and had to run this command line manually - F:\SMS\bin\x64>rolesetup.exe /install /siteserver:MAN-SCCM-CM01 SMSMP 0 Then it worked. but sms status component still critical.

Sorry I meant the primary site server computer objec is a local administartor off all distrubution points and that is the account used to install.

Server 2012 R2 server
SCCM 1910
Sql 2012
