Hello,
I need to migrate our SCCM server from an old physical server running Windows Server 2012 R2 / SQL Server 2014 / SCCM 2010 to a new virtual server running Windows Server 2019.
I did the test on a lab with the restore option and everything works: Windows Server 2019 / SQL Server 2014 SP3 / SCCM 2010 updated to SCCM 2309
Now I have to do this in production, I've read a lot of tutorials and I have a question about a possible rollback.
I'm going to rename the current server SCCM01 to SCCM01-OLD and the new server will take the known name SCCM01, that should work.
If I find I need to go back, will renaming the old server back to SCCM01 and the new one back to SCCM01-NEW do the trick?
