PENDING SCCM In-Place Upgrade TS Domain join issue

Hi to all,
I have a problem with In-Place Upgrade TS during JoinDomain.
During an In-Place Upgrade TS is it possible to join the domain?
I have a step that does the DisJoin and the renaming of the PC, reboot and step for the Join to Domain (Join Domain or Workgroup).
Unfortunately it fails with the following error: Failed to Read installation type for environment.

Are you sure if the TS is for an in-place upgrade? If yes, why are you not using a TS for fresh OS installation that includes domain join as well.

Hi and thank you for you swift replay. I used the in-place upgrade because I would like to preserve the user data and installed applications.

So why do you want to join the device to the domain during the in-place upgrade?. In-place upgrade TS is used for upgrading the OS to the next version.

We need to change domain. We need to migrate to a new domain and the PC is connected to another one during the in-place TS.
