Hi Prajwal,

Since we have changed our domain recently our SCCM started with this error below:

Configuration Manager cannot connect to the site (Server.name.com)

The Configuration Manager console cannot connect to the Configuration Manager site database. Verify the following:
• This computer has network connectivity to the SMS Provider computer.
• Your user account has Remote Activation permission on the Configuration Manager site server and the SMS Provider computer.
• The Configuration Manager console version is supported by the site server.
• You are assigned to at least one role-based administration security role.
• You have the following WMI permissions to the Root\SMS and Root\SMS\site_<site code> namespaces: Execute Methods, Provider Write, Enable Account, and Remote Enable.

I have tried change your link https://www.prajwaldesai.com/change-sccm-site-name/ but no luck at all.
Could you help me?

Kind Regards

Ricky

To check if the DNS resolution is OK, launch a ping to the FQDN of your Site server if you are connected from a remote machine: ping hostname.domain.local

If you connect to the Site server and launch the SCCM console, Is it worked or not?
Have you changed the hostname of the Site Server or changed completely the domain name?

Have you following the suggested solutions?

It is not supported to rename the domain that SCCM lives in. You must create a new primary site server.

@PEARUK - As @Garth mentioned, you must create a new primary site server because you changed the domain name. The steps that i covered in the post applies to changing the SCCM site name.
