Hi to all

After aprove a sms agent client from a workgroup server in a SMS administration console. I am still seeing just 2 actions.

Any clue of hot to fix it?

I am seeking information on web till someone give me a hand

Thanks in advanced

Manuel

The client agent is installed but the assignment process is failing. You need to check the clientlocation.log, locationservices.log, clientidstartupmanager.log for errors. Before you do that, make sure that you have the correct boundaries specified.

We are also seeing this anomaly. I just applied the Configuration Manager 1602 Hotfix (KB3155482) We see that SCCM is updating existing clients fine. But when we reimage a Computer, or bring new computers online and image them the client is being updated but were only seeing two Actions. I can find the system in SCCM and we resolve the issue by installing the client from the Device Record in SCCM. I'm telling the process to Uninstall the existing client and when it re-installs the client it has all the actions and all is good. We notice when the client only has the two actions we can run the software center and install apps that are advertised to the Workstation but were not able to install the apps from the Application Catalog. Seems like a bug to me.

Well, I have finally fix this error. I did the following steps to get this function:

C:\Client>ccmsetup.exe /source:c:\client SMSSITECODE=CMT SMSMP=cmapp.domain.com DNSSUFFIX=domain.com
create a lmhost file in the workgroup mahine
And Approve the CM agent in the SCCM administration console

After it, all services work quite well

We are able to reinstall the client to resolve the issue but is there a way to fix this so it's not an issue? I'm not sure where to run the script you suggest.

Thanks

Hi Ed

I was talking about a device from a workgroup.

The script I ran from a computer in workgroup (Using a CMD Windows with administrative privilege user account)
