Hi there,
New to SCCM and have been given an issue within our company...
our setup from what i can see is an sccm primary server, an sccm sql server and a sccm wsus server
wsus is configured to go to windows update to grab the patches, via proxy
iis is installed on wsus server with http and https ports 8530 and 8531
sccm primary server is configured to grab the updates from or through wsus server
i have seen lots of component statuses as red for example...
sms_wsus_control_manager
sms_state_system
sms_wsus_sync_manager
sms_inventory_data_loader
sms_wsus_configuration_manager
within these i know i can look at the details and have seen errors to check logs of wcm.log to which i can see that we have a
remote configuration failed on wsus server and also
remote connection failed with exception 'system.net.webexception: the request failed with http status 403 forbiddenm.~~~ at microsoft.updateservices.adminstration.adminproxy.createupdateserver(object[] args)~~ at microsoft.systemsmanagerserver.wsus.wsusserver.connectto wsusserver....atempting to bypass proxy
there are plenty of other redlines in these logs, what can i deem as useful and what not? i have googled loads on this and seem to get nowhere
what info can i post from logs for any help as well
many thanks and apologies for not knowing a lot more than above
the big sf

Error 5 is Access is denied. So... Did you confirm that you can download the SU outside of ConfigMgr. Using the Local system account?
