PENDING SCCM 2012 R2 Rolling image take about 2 hours

Hi,
I have very basic knowledge with SCCM 2012 R2 and wondering if you could help or assist me in right direction. In organization have one PrimarySite and 7 DistributionPoint. On DP site image is taking to finish the process in 2 hours and i am unable to trace any sort of information or troubleshooting where i can work on this. can you please assist me?

On DP site image is taking to finish the process in 2 hours - Do you mean that the distribution of content is taking long time ?. Please add more details.

Many thanks for your super quick response.

we have no problem with distribution of contents to DPs. however, when we are re-imaging workstation with MDT build its taking almost 2 hours to complete the imaging. First we thought maybe its downloading contents from primary site but, if it was then it wouldn't have finished the imaging process in 2 hours. Image process definitely downloading contents from locally but why its taking 2 hours its beyond my understanding. can you assist me to troubleshoot please.

The time taken to deploy an image depends on the TS that you have configured. The delay could be due to additional steps in TS such as installing apps, installing the software updates, custom scripts etc.

When i am rolling same image locally, this finish the process in 30-40 minutes, i can send you screenshots for TS for your considration.

There might be a delay when the content is being pulled or delay could be that one of the steps in the TS is taking lot of time. Yes you can send the screenshot but that won't help much. You need to check the smsts.log file. In most cases the apply operating system phase takes more time. In your case did you observe which step in TS is taking more time ?.

When I image it takes longer than an local image or when we used Symantec. I think 90 minutes is around average, it depends on hom many Task Sequence's are attached and the hardware of the PC.
