Told to recover our secondary site to a new server that does not have Windows update services or existing SUSDB\CM databases even though I reported that this is not how you create a new Secondary Site. After resolving all the errors in Configuration Manager Prereq, started the process. After 3 hours and watching the hman.log seems to have hung. Need to stop the process but do not want to cause any issues with Config Manager, A few sties suggested to stop SiteMgr however not sure how to proceed.

Thank you

I would avoid doing that and rather wait for the process to complete. If you still wish to terminate the current setup, you can stop the SiteMgr service in SCCM by stopping the SMSExec service, which will stop all relevant Configuration Manager services.

Thank you, assume it will eventually timeout then ?

Successfully stopped and restarted SMS_EXECUTIVE service however it still reports "Pending" for Secondary Site server (even after "Refresh" and hman.log still shows the looping processes. Do I need to stop additional services for this to revert back to not pending and recovery and create secondary site server options are available ?

Did you ever find a resolve for this, stopping this process? Mines been running for almost 24 hours now.
