Hi PD, just noticed your new guide on upgrading to 25H2 with Intune. So before we deploy the 25H2 update, we need to test few things and get the business approval. I am worried that this update should not pop up in end users devices, especially for consultants who are travelling on regular basis for work. How do I prevent the devices from updating to 25H2 in Intune and what changes do i need to make in our feature update policy.

I assume that all your devices are running Windows 11 version 24H2 and you want to delay the 25H2 upgrade. The Windows feature updates policies work with your Update rings for Windows 10 and later policies to prevent a device from receiving a Windows feature version that's later than the value specified in the feature updates policy.

You can look to use the Pause option to prevent assigned devices from receiving feature or quality updates for up to 35 days from the time you pause the ring.

If your organization co-manages devices with Configuration Manager and you can configure a GPO like this: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage Updates offered from Windows Update
Policy: Select the target Feature Update Version. Enable the policy and then set to Windows 11 24H2
