SOLVED OSD Issue - Stuck on Retrieving policy for this computer

Hi,

In one of our secondary site we are experiencing issues to deploy the standard image.
After the first Next, the computer starts to "Retrieving policy for this computer.." and never show the TS screen to choose. (See the screenshot attached).
Please let me know if you need more information.

This issue is also occurring today in the Primary site as well. I cannot start an image. It is stuck on the "Retrieving Policy for this computer" screen for several hours now.
This is for any PC model. I can Ping the Primary and Secondary servers successfully from all of these PCs.
Over the past few weeks, I have seen this issue intermittently on some days.
This has been reported from the secondary sites most often in the past few weeks as well.

When the pxe computer tries to retrieve a task sequence it's actually querying the primary site database. Verify the client has 1433 connectivity to the primary servers sql database.

Also, restart the windows deployment service on that pxe service point and check if the TS works fine.

Hi Prajwal,

Thanks for your feedback and Sorry for the delay. Apparently it was identified as a network bandwidth issue in the Primary site and secondary site. Deskside team tried imaging after office hours and found it was working fine.

Network team is working on it now.
