New Database for SCCM

Dear all, I want to know the best way to handle SCCM database. As my SCCM Database size is approx 50GB now and i am thinking to create a new database and attach it with an existing one so that the previous one size stop growing more. Please let me know if it is possible and how in steps? Appreciate you responses and guidelines.

What do you mean attached a new db? do you mean a new db file? if you want to add a new file, sure you can do that CM doesn't care how many files you add.
