Hello Fellows,

I have been having this issue for a while now on a new deployment.
The MP fails after about 2 minutes with the below error:
Call to HttpSendRequestSync failed for port 80 with status code 500, text: Internal Server Error
Http test request failed, status code is 500, 'Internal Server Error'. SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER 05/06/2024 12:50:57 13920 (0x3660)

Call to HttpSendRequestSync succeeded for port 80 with status code 200, text: OK SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER 05/06/2024 12:50:57 13920 (0x3660)

Http test request succeeded. SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER 05/06/2024 12:50:57 13920 (0x3660)

The error chain repeats every 5 minutes interval.

IIS Logs show no Issue on the surface

But Error trace log show the below

When you expand the trace, it shows:

The MP verification URL show the below

Both
And
show the below page (ignore the URL in the screen shot)

I have double checked permissions across the SMC_CCM folder, its subfolder and files and went as far as giving every principal, including 'Everyone' and 'IIS_IUSRS' full control.

I have also vetted read permission to SMS_MP sites

I have removed and re-installed both IIS and the Management Point.
ISS componenets installed with script
Install-WindowsFeature Web-Static-Content,Web-Default-Doc,Web-Dir-Browsing,Web-Http-Errors,Web-Http-Redirect,Web-Net-Ext,Web-ISAPI-Ext,Web-Http-Logging,Web-Log-Libraries,Web-Request-Monitor,Web-Http-Tracing,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-Filtering,Web-Stat-Compression,Web-Mgmt-Tools,Web-Mgmt-Compat,Web-Metabase,Web-WMI,BITS,RDC
Matter of fact, I have built another Primary site in the environment and same issue popped up.
The local DB instance has the correct permissions set for the service and site system accounts.
The right memberships are set on the local administrators group of the site server.

I have updated SCCM from 2309 to 2403 but still have the same issue.

I just hope someone can flag something up or point me on what to review.

Thanks in advance!!

Solution
Decided to move MP site server outside it's current OU in AD and start linking GPs one at a time. This has resolved the issue. I will post an update if I find the culprit policy.
