Hey,

I would like to do maintenance on the software and applications in SCCM.

What is still in use, which packages are removed but content still on disk, what is obsolete …

That means going over all packages and bringing order into chaos.

Maybe there is a way to check when a package was last used and go from there … Can you please suggest a good approach to doing this.

I dont see the point of doing that unless its a licensed software.

Check your software list through the built in reports \Monitoring\Overview\Reporting\Reports\Software - Companies and Products and run through them one by one and uninstall the one you dont need or want.

Check Software Metering to get the usage of applications.

Thank you :)

Yes, it is a licensed software. Some of them are not in use since a long time and I would like to clean up software and applications packages.

but confused from where to start. I am a new to SCCM. appreciate if you can describe me some steps and I will do it from there.
